Campaign Organizer
We are seeking a Campaign Organizer to support the University-Rosedale Provincial NDP constituency association and Jessica Bell’s upcoming re-election campaign.
We are looking for a candidate with experience with canvassing, data entry, managing volunteers, fundraising, and social media.
The contract will be for 20 hours a week, $30 an hour.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY-ROSEDALE PROVINCIAL NDP
We are the Ontario NDP constituency association serving Toronto’s vibrant University-Rosedale electoral district.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAMPAIGN ORGANIZER
Planning:
- Working with the Election Planning Committee to execute a campaign plan.
Outreach:
- Canvassing with our provincial candidate Jessica Bell
- Organizing canvasses with volunteers
- Training new volunteers
- Social media photos and videos
Data:
- Updating contact information for constituents.
- Managing volunteers to enter data
Fundraising
Logistics and administration
POSITION DETAILS
The Campaign Organizer will be accountable to the Election Planning Committee (EPC).
We anticipate the Campaign Organizer will dedicate twenty hours a week for these responsibilities at a rate of $30/hour, with some weeks being busier than others.
Given the nature of our work, we will require strict confidentiality. The successful candidate will sign a confidentiality agreement. All staff and volunteers must agree to our Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Agreement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in canvassing, phone banking & organizing
- Excellent written communication and design skills
- Painstaking attention to detail
- Self-organized, and self-motivated, being able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Relationship-building skills for cooperation and coordination between volunteers and staff at all levels
- Sharp political acumen
- Dedication to our goals of a greener, fairer, more just and prosperous society
- Experience in or knowledge of the Ontario NDP an asset
- Flexible hours to meet with volunteers evenings and weekends as required
- You will be required to use your own computer and phone and be reimbursed for your expenses.
- Knowledge of another language spoken in University-Rosedale considered an asset (Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese)
